Head of Commercial and Product Finance

Partner with the Commercial and Product teams to support the ambitious growth ambitions of PayPoint plc.
 
This role will contribute fully to the development of business strategy, providing insightful information, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial input on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
 
The Head of Commercial and Product Finance will also be instrumental in reshaping the focus and capabilities of the current Management Information team and have will have the opportunity to build and develop their team.
 
 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Work closely with the Product Director, the Commercial Director and Business Development Director and their respective teams to develop financial plans to deliver growth and profitability
  • Lead, develop and motivate the a team to ensure high levels of capability, engagement and performance
  • Delivering of the Commercial and Product elements of the business performance review
  • Develop insight and analysis capability, ensuring the provision of forward looking data to enable business decision making and support for commercial deal making and to enable the creation of product P&L’s
  • Review and improve finance processes and systems in order to ensure that they are efficient, robust, compliant, accurate and timely and able to support both current activity and future growth
  • Be the voice of finance for all product and commercial initiatives ensuring:
    • maintaining effective and appropriate levels of financial control
    • compliance with regulatory, taxation and legal requirements
    • impact of initiatives on Billing and Financial Settlement is fully understood and effectively managed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other key members of the Finance Leadership Team and the Product and Commercial Leadership Teams
 

 
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Qualified accountant, likely to be CIMA from a strong product and sales focused organisation
  • Proven experience of developing and restructuring teams
  • Significant  process and change management
  • Track record of delivery and accountability for results
  • Engaging personality; confident, enthusiastic and able to build strong relationships. Strong coaching style with direct reports
  • Experience of operating within a dynamic growth environment
  • Experience of managing senior internal stakeholders in a challenging environment
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, influencing and clear communication skills; able to simplify complex technical or business issues
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; demonstrating a track record of initiating and then delivering a strategic business direction
  • Experience of significant commercial deal negotiation/structuring/execution
  • Willing to roll sleeves up in order to get things done
