Why are we recruiting?
We launched a cloud based EPOS product in 2017 for our convenience store retailers. This has become one of the main EPOS solutions used in convenience retail in the UK. We are now investing further in improving the product and growing the Product team. We are looking for an experienced Developer to help us improve our retailers experience of our EPOS solution, whether that’s through the web, mobile apps or when using our Android till.
Who are we?
We have been around since 1996. You will be able to find us in most convenience stores so take a look next time you go to your corner shop. We have different payment services ranging from bill payments to card services and ATM’s. PayPoint manages £15 billion worth of transactions every year, for over 6,000 clients. We also run a leading omni- channel payments service that allows businesses to offer their customers ways to pay anywhere, anytime. That’s not all we do, we run a parcel service through collect + which means when you shop online, you can have your parcel’s sent to your local convenience store.
What will you be doing?
You will be joining a team of 5 talented Engineers, working together in creating and delivering solutions for our retailers who use our EPOS product. You will have the opportunity to show case your front-end development skills in various projects all of which use the latest technology.
You will be passionate about creating good UX and building great user interfaces. Ideally, you’ll have some experience of both web and app development, but if you don’t, that ok. As long as you have the desire to learn the other you could end up being a great fit for an already fun, social and supportive team.

It would be great if you already have…
One or both of -
Good experience of one or more of the common JS frameworks/libraries such as vue, react, ember, angular. We’d be happy to hear if you are willing to learn others too.
Native Android development experience (our tills run older versions of Android – you’ll be developing for ASOP 4.4 and 6 when working on till code).
Experience of iOS Development, using either Swift or React Native
Writing and integrating to Web Services
