Apprentice ATM and Cash Infrastructure Technician

Role Overview
As ATM and Cash Infrastructure Technician, you are dedicated to improving the ATM and Cash solutions and service provided by PayPoint and third parties.
You support the Product Owner, ATMs & Cash as an interface between the development and service teams, third party suppliers and other groups providing support of hardware and software solutions, testing, investigation of problems and escalation of issues with third parties and internal teams.
Responsibilities
  • Support technical aspects of ATMs and other cash products under the guidance of the Product Owner, ATMs and Cash.
  • Support the Product Owner, ATMs and Cash in technical discussions with third party suppliers.
  • Undertake and execute test activities as directed.
  • Document test results
  • Liaise with third parties and internal communities to investigate problems and issues.
  • Install ATM software and hardware as requested to support ATM and Cash activities.
  • Support the Product Owner, ATMs and Cash with sunset planning for legacy hardware and software.
  • Support the Product Owner, ATMs and Cash to own the in-store experience for retailers and customers for ATMs and cash products.
  • Co-ordinate with Service Management over ATM issues.
  • Co-ordinate with Online Services Team during communications and postilion testing or problems.
  • Liaise with the Product Owner, ATMs and Cash and third parties for technical solutions and accreditations.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for ensuring that the product roadmap once delivered is fit for purpose and manage the roll out to internal communities as well as external customers.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • 5 GCSEs (including English and Mathematics.  A science or Technology subject would be beneficial)
  • A relevant Level 2 Apprenticeship or other relevant qualification/experience of working with ATM and cash technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Information Technology tools including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience of investigating problems and issues
